Hello there, I am an experienced Nanny and Maternity Nurse with Twins experience.  I am a trustworthy, patient and warm person, very outgoing with a lot knowledge about weaning and other development steps.  I am Ofsted registered, MNT Certified, I have Early Years First AID Certification, I am also CRB clear and have a clean drivers licence.  I am a non smoker, I enjoy swimming & Painting.  I love working with children…

Dear Parents

I am an Italian woman in my 50s who is very passionate about infants and children.  I was born in Rome where I studied for five years about children.  Some of the subjects covered in my study were: Psychology, Science of Education, Nutrition Hygiene, Obstetrics and Vocational Training.  While in training I did work experience in Hospital (labor, childbirth, newborns Departments), I also worked in an Orphanage and Montessori Kindergarten.

It has been a very intense period of learning, very interesting and useful for my chosen career in childcare.  After my my studies, I got married and I began to build my own big family.  I have four children (now all grown up) and I spent the following twenty years raising them and because of the length and intensity (it was a 24 hours/7 days a week experience), I consider motherhood the largest and most incisive training period I could have had.  It gave me practical knowledge from newborn to teenagers.  Also in that period I sporadically also cared for friend’s children too.

London

I came to London about ten years ago as my children were old enough, I could now concentrate properly on my career.  While in London at different times, I obtained two certifications: MNT Training which covered the subjects/areas: SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), Colic and Reflux, Sleep in newborns, Health and Care of newborns and Post Natal Mothers, Breast Feeding, Role and Responsibilities of the Maternity Nurse and also the MANNTA Course about Child Sleeping disorders.

I’ve always worked with very young children and newborns in all aspects: daily care, night care, 24 hours care, live in and live out.  I have traveled the world with the families taking care of their children’s needs and being very flexible.

I am a very warm, calm and outgoing person who easily bonds with children and parents alike, always focusing on every individual child’s development which include physical, cognitive, linguistic, social and emotional.  What make my caring different? Well, I think that having perfect knowledge about child’s development steps is not enough.

Babies and young children are individual first with unique profiles and abilities, so adults caring for them need to be tailored around them.  All the planning starts with observing the children in order to understand and consider their current interests, development and learning, their schedules and routines which should take into account children at that moment.

I am happy because, I am in touch with the previous families I’ve worked with, they keep me updated with pictures of the children I’ve looked after and eventually new siblings.  Even now often they ask me for suggestions about every day problems.
